Set Your Property Availability

Stayy lets you set your property availability in a few ways to give you as much control and flexibility as possible.

First is your property visibility.

On your property page, just above the photos, there is a round button to set visibility. All new properties start out set to Inactive.

When you click on that you'll get a dialog box to set the visibility you want. Your options will be Active, Paused, or Inactive. Paused allows you to continue inviting guests and for the property to be visible to the guests you've invited, but prevents any new stays from being scheduled.

Next, you can set your property availability by night on your calendar.

Simply click on your property's calendar, just like you would to schedule a stay. And select the option to "Set as unavailable". This will cross out those nights you've selected and mark them with an X. Unavailability dates can also be set like this for individual sleeping spaces.

As the owner or manager of a property you can click on unavailable nights to set them back to available.

There are also various options that will help you set up rules around scheduling stays.

For example, you can allow instant scheduling of guest stays or require that the property owner or manager manually approve all stays. This rule can be set by guest role type. That way family members might be able to book instantly, while acquaintances require approval. Set in your Guest List Settings.

Minimum and maximum stay lengths are very useful in maintaining control. Stay length controls are set at the sleeping space level. Thant way someone booking the whole place could stay longer than someone crashing for a night on the futon.

You can also prevent back-to-back stays. Meaning even if instant scheduling is allowed, stays by the same guest within 30 days require manual approval. This is particularly useful when you're trying to give a large extended family fair opportunity yo schedule, and still allow for maximum property usage. Set in your Guest List Settings.

By setting up these simple items, you'll be able to automatically control your property scheduling easily for different types of guests.
