Get Paid or Reimbursed When Friends Stay at Your Property.

Your vacation property is amazing for you, your family, and your friends that all use and enjoy staying. But it’s kind of a money pit. So getting reimbursed from friends and family using it for nights stayed, cleaning expenses, and other property maintenance costs would be amazing. 

Because it’s hard to ask for family to chip in, it’s hard to ask friends to reimburse costs or to have to keep reminding them to cough up the cash. With Stayy you can make it simple to have costs attached to staying at your property. This way it’s all pre-set for everyone as a per night or per stay amount to pay when they schedule their stay. 

Yes, you can set different pricing rules for your property guest types (Guests, Family, Member, Manager). You can set variable amounts for week nights, weekends, or individual dates that you choose. And you can set different amounts based on sleeping space if you have your property set up to schedule by individual spaces! This is a super cool option if you only want to allow friends and family to schedule the guest bedrooms and keep the master bedroom privately for yourself. Or if you have a ski cabin that has a bunk-bed room and you want your guests to schedule by the individual bunk.

Payments Accounts - Are attached to the Property Owner Account

Payment accounts are attached to the property owner account (the person that created the property). If you haven’t done so yet, Join Stayy and add your property. 

When you were first added your property to Stayy, you probably noticed property settings and added photos and your own property details. If not, you should do those things first.

In your Property Settings you’ll see the section heading Getting Paid. 

Click on Getting Paid and choose “I want to receive payments”.

And click the button to Go to payments setup.

Alternatively you can go directly to your Payments Page from the user menu in the top right corner (it will be a user icon or the photo you uploaded of yourself).

Setting up Stripe Connect is simple, but will require you to input your tax id number and connect a bank account (so that they can send you your money). Stripe Connect lets you have control over payments that go directly to you, refunds if needed, and many other options. Stripe is also an amazingly robust and secure payments system that even Airbnb uses for its bank-transfer payments instead of building their own system. 

Ok, now that payments are ready, you can add nightly or cleaning costs to your property scheduling options. You can also set guest roles to Member and create monthly recurring membership payments or one time joining-fee style payments for your property.
